*Make sure to check out the linked video of each closer entrance if you haven't seen it before so you can follow along!

  1. Edwin Diaz

Song: Narcos

Artist: Timmy Trumpet

Team: New York Mets

Video: Edwin Diaz’ Entrance

Explanation: Diaz has easily the most iconic entrance song in the majors. What do you picture when a closer comes into the game? Quick! First thing on your mind! For me, it’s either Mariano Rivera’s Sandman, or this guy. The trumpet is iconic, it’s inclusive to the fans, the stadium goes wild, the atmosphere is amazing, even Mr. and Mrs. Met get in on the fun! In fact, it’s such a good entrance song, catcher William Contreras uses it for his own walkup song!

2. Jhoan Duran

Song: El Incomprendido x Hot

Artist: Farruko

Team: Philadelphia Phillies

Video: Jhoan Duran’s Entrance

Explanation: Like Diaz, Duran creates such a fun atmosphere in the stadium when he comes into the game. The crowd goes crazy when the song says, “Atencion!” letting everyone know who’s coming into the game. It’s the Phillies version of “Whatever the Mets can do, we can to better.” It’s great, but it’s not better. Still, the crazy red lights in the stadium are fun, and is one of the best entrances in the MLB.

3. Ryan Helsley

Song: Hells Bells

Artist: ACDC

Team: New York Mets

Video: Ryan Helsley’s Entrance

Explanation: This entrance music goes for a whole different vibe. This is another level of intimidation. The first two on the list were fun, fan-inclusive music, but this, this is terrifying. Imagine you are a hitter coming to the plate and the closer walks out to that. I’m staying far away from that guy. It also helps that Helsley throws a 103 mph fastball. But how can you not love this. It takes baseball into a whole different dimension, in this atmospheric light show. The bells give it an eerie feeling, then the electric guitar comes in and it is powerful. Plus, it’s a play on words. Get it? Helsey, Hells Bells? That’s bonus points for me. The only reason this isn’t numbers one or two is because it isn’t completely original. Trevor Hoffman walked out to the song a few years ago.

4. Andres Munoz

Song: Pepas

Artist: Farruko

Team: Seattle Mariners

Video: Andres Munoz’ Entrance

Explanation: Munoz’ entrance is the most bass-boosted entrance in all of baseball. Fans are said to be able to feel the vibration even in the parking lot! Munoz picked one of the most exciting songs to walk out to, considering the high energy, electric feel. It’s very similar to Duran’s (maybe it’s because it’s the same artist), and could easily be just as good, if he was on a higher profile team. Now that Duran is on the Phillies, he is overshadowed by his popularity. But this is easily one of the best walkout songs in the MLB, and gives the fans something to have fun with in the ninth.

5. Mason Miller

Song: Burn It to the Ground

Artist: Nickelback

Team: San Diego Padres

Video: Mason Miller’s Entrance

Explanation: This song represents Miller in a nutshell. Either he’ll be burning his opponents with his 104 mph fastball, or be the one getting burnt. All jokes aside, this entrance is epic. As our only hard rock song entrance on the this list, it is certainly one of the most powerful. And it was cool even in Oakland. Barely anything is cool in Oakland! Now he’s going to a big market team in San Diego and I can’t wait to see what the design team did to this one. I can only imagine pink and blue flames on the screen with the Padres City Connect Jerseys on, while the stadium goes dark and the fans goes crazy. The board shows Miller’s signature line: It’s Miller Time! (I know, could’ve been a little more creative, but in this moment, anything seems awesome).
